Privacy
Short version: without an account we collect nothing personal, we never send marketing email, and you can erase everything yourself from your account page.
What we collect, and nothing more
Without an account, Wordnest collects no personal data. Grids are built inside your browser: neither your play nor the words you type into the generator ever leave your device.
Three things are kept locally, in your browser storage, and are never sent to us: your light or dark theme choice, whether sound is on, and the counter for today’s free sheet. Clearing site data erases them.
When you sign in, a fourth entry joins the same storage: your session, that is, a token. That one is indeed sent to our servers, since it is what identifies you. It disappears when you sign out or clear site data.
With an account, we keep: your email address, the date the account was created, your plan, how many sheets you printed each day, and — if you subscribe and choose to save them — the grids you save (title, word list, size, level, and the custom header if you set one, which may contain a class or teacher name).
Why, and on what basis
The email address is used to sign you in (we send a link; there is no password) and to send your payment receipt. That is performance of the contract you asked for.
The daily counter enforces the free plan limit. Saved grids exist only to give them back to you.
We send no marketing email. The only messages you can receive are the sign-in link and the receipts issued by Stripe.
Who else sees this
Supabase hosts the database and the authentication service (accounts, sending the sign-in link).
Stripe processes payments. Your card number never passes through our servers and we never see it: Stripe returns only a customer identifier and your subscription status.
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site.
We sell nothing, we share nothing for advertising purposes, and there is currently no ad network and no analytics tool installed on this site. If advertising is switched on later, this page will be updated first, and a consent banner will appear where the law requires one.
For how long
Account data is kept as long as the account exists. You can delete it yourself, at any time, from your account page: this first cancels any running subscription, then erases the account, the saved grids and the counter.
Stripe separately keeps a record of payments, as tax law requires. We ask for the associated customer profile to be anonymised.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or erase your data. Deletion is in your own hands on the account page — we do not make you email a human in order to leave.

Children
Wordnest is a tool for adults who play, or who prepare sheets for others — teachers, parents, activity leaders. We do not create accounts intended for children and do not knowingly collect their data.
