You move between ball games like soccer and cricket, the water disciplines, the martial arts, winter events on snow and ice, and races decided by pure endurance. None of it demands specialist knowledge; anyone who has watched a summer or winter games broadcast knows these names already.

Easy level means words run only left to right or top to bottom. Nothing is spelled backwards and nothing cuts across on a slant, so any letter you notice leads somewhere in one of two directions. That makes this a sensible starting point for a new player, and an unhurried one if you are returning to word searches after a long gap.

Read the rows first, top to bottom, watching for the opening letter of a word still on your list, then repeat the sweep down the columns.
