At this size the vocabulary shows its whole range at once: ball games, water sports, the winter events, the martial arts and the endurance races all appear on the same sheet. Printed full page, the letters stay comfortably large, which matters when the grid is going to a group, a classroom wall or a reader who prefers bigger type.

A large medium grid is meant to be worked in stages rather than cleared in one push. Diagonals are allowed, reversals are not, so progress stays steady even when the field is wide. Put it down, come back later, and the words you have already crossed out keep their place on the page.

Divide the sheet into blocks and finish one before moving on, leaving any word that crosses a boundary for the pass that covers the next block.
