It is the natural next step once the small squares stop taking any effort. Nothing in the rules changes; only the field of letters grows, which means more places to look and a longer, steadier sitting. For a group it holds attention well past the opening scan, yet it never tips over into feeling like homework.

Sweep for the rarer letters first. J, Q and K barely appear in this list, so finding one of them almost always hands you a whole word.
