Size changes what the puzzle asks of you. On a board this wide the eye cannot hold the whole field at once, so the search becomes a sequence of small territories rather than one long look. Long names get room to stretch and short ones disappear into the middle, which is why the final answers usually take longer than all the earlier ones together.

It is the version to print. A large grid holds its clarity on paper, the list of animals keeps a table busy, and the medium setting means no word is spelled backwards, so nobody needs the rules explained twice. Teachers, carers and activity leaders tend to reach for this shape when a session needs filling calmly.
