The reversed readings join what medium already allowed. Backwards along a row, upwards along a column, and both slants running the wrong way: the letters never change, but the order you are willing to accept them in does. Most of the extra effort goes on words you scanned past early, before you had adjusted.

The short entries cause most of the trouble. A brief word read backwards barely registers as a word at all, while the long ones still cut across enough of the board to announce themselves in any direction. So expect the last things left on the list to be the plainest: the small everyday names for rain, fog and wind rather than the dramatic ones.

Stop hunting first letters and hunt distinctive clusters instead: a GHT, a PH or a doubled ZZ looks the same whichever way the word runs.
