At this width the theme shows its whole spread. Drought and flood share a sheet with the seasons, the sky words and the language of measurement, and nothing has to be left out to make room. That breadth is what makes the sheet worth printing, since one page keeps a group occupied and people can hand it back and forth without losing their place.
The medium rules keep it fair over that distance. Words lean on the diagonals but still read forwards, so a large board never turns into a guessing exercise; it simply takes time. That is why it tends to be printed rather than played: an afternoon in a lounge, a long wait, a sheet passed along a table.
Cover the sheet in horizontal bands a few rows deep, and let each band overlap the one above, so a diagonal word cannot fall between two passes.
