Solved

Keyboard: arrows to move, Enter to start a word, arrows to extend, Enter again to confirm, Esc to cancel.

Scale is the real opponent. On a board this wide, a reversed word is not hard to spot once you are looking at it — the difficulty is getting your eyes to every part of the sheet without drifting. Concentration slips long before the puzzle runs out, and that is what turns a search into a sitting.

The whole ocean vocabulary is here, long compounds and all, spread far enough apart that you will finish one region completely before the next reveals anything. Printed, it makes a genuine project — something to leave on a table and return to, rather than a sheet to hand round and collect before everyone leaves.

Do a first pass looking only for reversed words, then a second for everything else; switching modes deliberately beats trying to hold both in mind at once.
