Scale changes the nature of the task. On a board this size the individual word is rarely hard; keeping track of where you have already looked is. Words can start anywhere and travel in any direction, including backwards up a diagonal, and a sheet this wide gives them a great deal of room to disappear into.
The theme itself stays grounded throughout — a traditional farm of animals, fields, buildings and seasonal work, with no technical jargon and no wild species wandering in. That familiarity is what makes the long version bearable: you always know roughly what you are looking for, even when you cannot yet see where it went.
Cover everything but a band of rows with a sheet of paper and read that band in both directions before sliding it down. A board this wide cannot be held in one view; a band can.
